But suddenly, the owner of The Raj Restaurant with his wife Anwara was barred from the director position. They have been charged on the grounds of racking a £229,000 tax debt. Edinburgh Evening News has reported it. Further, the famous Curry King failed to maintain clear accounts of the restaurant.

This incident has led to the possibility that the celebrity chef will be waived off from Member of the Order of the British Empire. With this, he will be held guilty of this criminal act with a fine of three months of jail, as has been reported by the news source. 

There is a lack of documents for a trial of £1 million that has been paid from the restaurant’s account. However, the scenario of Tommy Miah restaurant and daily vat has triggered a tax debt of £228,920 in this relation.

Insolvency services have investigated the case, resulting in a civil trial. There is no transparency in the company's financial statements, so the tax collection problem has taken severe turns. The insolvency service department is looking into the case for further investigation.
